Harmonies with Lise Welsh

From a young age I have always loved harmony.

In church, my Aunt D would encourage me to sing in the choir. I would follow her lead as an alto, studying her strong voice. What I loved most was the challenge. It wasn't the easy route like singing soprano. Melody is obvious. Harmony is not.

I hear harmonies on most of the material I write. In planning for the Paradise Grange gig this upcoming weekend, I have had the honor of working with the amazing Lise Welsh. We met a couple weeks back to review the harmony I have always heard on Down Low, Won't You Feel and Together. The moment I heard her sing (the lines I've had in my head for YEARS), I got insta-goosebumps. I almost cried I kid you not.

I'm really looking forward to sharing the stage with Lise. She is a very talented woman and Saturday night is going to go down in the books as one memorable evening.
